Do You Need an ETL Tool?

The presentation looks at the role of ETL tools in Data Warehouse development.
We look at the various capabilities that an ETL tool provides and compare them to ‘hand crafting’. We weigh the costs and benefits of ETL tools as compared to ‘hand crafting’ and provide guidelines for the audience to select the correct approach for their own situation. The presentation then looks at various techniques for creating a complete and professional enterprise ETL process using PL/SQL.
